An outbound dialer is software that places calls from a list on behalf of your team, instead of each rep typing numbers. The differences between products are in how they dial (one call at a time or several), what they do with voicemail, which number they show, and where the answered call goes. Zorino is an outbound dialer sized for a team of 2 to 10: one call at a time per rep, voicemail skipped, your business number shown, and the call delivered to the rep's own phone.
The three dialing modes, and which one you need
| Mode | How it dials | Best for | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power (progressive) | One number at a time per rep; the next call starts when the last one ends | Teams of 2 to 20, leads and customers who should hear a person | Low |
| Predictive | Several numbers at once per rep, an algorithm guesses when a rep frees up | Call centers with 20+ agents and huge lists | Dropped and silent calls, abandoned-call limits |
| Preview | The rep sees the contact and clicks to call | High-value accounts, few calls per day | Slow |
Zorino is a power dialer with a pace setting: 5, 10 or 15 calls per minute across the team depending on your plan. You get the volume of automatic dialing without the silent calls of a predictive system, and every answered call reaches a live rep. If you are weighing the three modes in more detail, read power dialer vs auto dialer vs predictive dialer.
What happens on each call
- Zorino dials the next contact from your list and shows your local US or Canadian business number as caller ID.
- If an answering machine picks up, the call is logged as voicemail and the dialer moves on. No rep is interrupted.
- If a person answers, an available rep's phone rings. The rep presses 1 and is connected; the contact's file is on screen.
- After the call, the rep logs the outcome, adds a note, schedules a callback or marks Do Not Call, in one click.
- Live counters update for the manager: dialed, answered, connected, voicemail, queue.
Caller ID and your reputation
Outbound dialing from a random or rotating number is the fastest way to get labeled "Scam Likely". Zorino gives every account its own local number, included in the plan, and shows it on every call. Keep calling from the same number, answer it when customers call back, and register it with the carriers' reputation services. Our guide on why calls show as Scam Likely explains the steps.
Pace, lists and compliance
- Pace you control. Set the dialer to the speed your team can handle; pause and resume where you left off.
- Lists from CSV or Google Contacts. Import, tag, and keep notes and history on each contact.
- Do Not Call enforced. Contacts you flag are never dialed again.
- Calling hours. Respect the consumer's local time window (8 a.m. to 9 p.m. under US federal rules, similar windows in Canada) and any stricter state rules.
- Abandoned calls. Because Zorino connects a live rep on every answered call, it does not create the abandoned calls that predictive dialers generate.

Who it fits
Small teams that call leads, customers and past clients: insurance and mortgage brokers, real estate teams, solar and home services, B2B sales, collections follow-up and customer service callbacks. Reps can be in one office or spread across cities; the call rings their own phone either way.
See the dialer work on your phone
The live demo dials up to 5 numbers you choose and rings your phone when someone answers. Two minutes, no account, no card.
Does Zorino need Twilio or any phone setup?
No. Zorino runs on Twilio's network, but you never create a Twilio account or configure anything. Pick a local number in one click during setup and start calling.
Can two reps be on calls at the same time?
Yes. Every available rep can be connected at once; the dialer feeds answered calls to whoever is free.
